They derive from the disruption of basic needs such as survival and attachment. One form of hopelessness is felt among people who are underprivileged and is called Uninspired. People who feel this type of hopelessness think that they do not have the right resources to be able to make it in the world. Another type is helplessness, which comes after facing a serious mental and/or physical torture such as sexual abuse.
