Niceville: Home Of The Eagles
Being at home has many different connotations. Some have described home to be where there families are. Others say that home is where the heart is. My mother states that home is where she is. I believe home is the place that finishes the puzzle to my life. The place that connects all the dots, the place where I grew up, and made unbreakable bonds, as well as life enhancing experiences. My home is Niceville, Florida home of the eagles. Niceville and the surrounding area is beautiful, and great place to live.
Niceville has a wide demographic, because of tourists, the locals, and the military. Tourists are attracted to a city named Destin, but often come to Niceville, because hotels are cheaper. The local people of Niceville are adventurous and outdoorsy. Many people have the luxuries of going out to hunt, and others go out to Choctawhatchee Bay for fishing, or family relaxation. Niceville High School, home of the eagles, is ranked number twenty seven, in the top schools in Florida, and number three hundred ninety seven nationally. Many residents of Niceville have deep roots to the world of sports, luckily Niceville High School has an arsenal of athletics for people of all shapes and sizes such as; football,flag football, basketball, golf, swimming, soccer, tennis, track and field, wrestling, weightlifting, volleyball, softball, cross country, and cheerleading. For people who are musically inclined, Niceville High School’s music programs are stellar. The school has a men’s choir, as well as two women’s choirs, and two mixed choirs, all of which have earned multitudes of excellent, and superior ratings by the Florida Vocal Association. The Niceville band, The Eagle Pride, houses over three hundred students, and has traveled the country to perform in parades such as the Macy’s Day, and marched in the Rose
