When I go in, I go directly to the west wing of the building and see a marvelous painting I will never forget. It was an oil painting by Vincent Van Gogh. I just stare at it amazed, it was a picture of dark blue, white and yellow flowers, iris’s to be exact. It had shade to it, making it look more realistic and alive. It had a golden colored frame which made the painting stand out more. The painting was called “IRISIS”, created in 1889 I believe. I also saw another painting done by Edgar Degas, it was a ballerina with flowers in her hand dancing flawlessly. She was in some sort of play, or doing a theatre performance because there was brown floor boards and fake green stage trees with backup dancing ballerinas behind her. I saw a bunch of statues as well. One in particular I remember is a very tall, like nine or ten feet tall statue. It was of a very skinny women. A kind of anorexic type of look. She had a skinny face but no facial features. She had long thin arms with a little waist. Then it got to her hips, she was wide, but then her legs shifted into very long stick legs. I just thought it was really weird how every part of her was skinny except her waist. She was made out of something black, and she looked kind of melted. Other things I found awfully interesting about some statues was that some didn't have legs or arms. Was it that they didn't want to make the arms or they broke off over time? What we have to keep in mind though is that these sculptures are a couple hundred years
