1. Provide a description of how the relationship between Jonathan and his team should be.
The relationship between Jonathan and his team should be very professional, mature and positive. Team chemistry is very essential in order to keep the company together or work to achieve a target. When you work together you achieve together.

Communicate what he expects each team member to accomplish in such a way that all members know he is aware of their particular talents. Build on their strengths. Give them a verbal boost whenever they tackle an assignment that goes outside their comfort zone.

Jonathan should listen to what the team members have to say about each other and to him in a nonjudgmental manner.

This may also make work more fun for these employees with the end result not only being a more positive workplace but also improved overall morale. In reverse, a severe and unfriendly work environment will have the opposite effect.

2. How can Jonathan and his team develop good working patterns?
The way Jonathan and his team can develop god working patterns are by showing respect for others. Being interested in the perspectives of other workers, and being willing to examine viewpoints that are different from your own. Share your own perspectives in a polite manner. Avoid telling lengthy personal stories and sending emails unrelated to work. If Jonathan works in a shared office space he should limit personal phone calls and distractions such as radios. This way it will maintain a professional and civil attitude.

Jonathan can improve communication skills by listening attentively to his team members and speaking clearly. If he isn’t sure he understands the other person, he can repeat the statement in his own words and ask whether they understand it correctly. Let others know that you value their opinions.
