We live among a variety of people, some who are good, some who are considered a nuisance to society. Then there are those who claim to be sick with illness. Deviance and evilness can go hand in hand. Those who believe in evil things have no problem becoming deviant. I feel that this could categorize these individuals as having an illness, or being sick. They have a sickness that is different from the normal diagnosis of mental disorders. Deviant and evil people must possess something inside of them to go against living in the norms that others live by. In certain cases, however, the behavior can be learned. If it is the desired behavior by which an individual surrounds themselves by, then it can cause someone to learn the behavior.
In reality, no individual is perfect. At some point we all have done something that could be of question to out integrity. Those who are set apart from this are the ones who enjoy this type of behavior and continue to display an evil or deviant mannerism. I feel that those who act in this way are not necessarily learning this behavior from parents. Although some may, I feel that this cannot be used as an excuse as to why individuals act out. If an individual grew up as a normal child with no problems and later joined a bad crowd of individuals, then deviant and evil behavior can be learned. I feel that some people do this to join gangs as an initiation process. Once they get a positive reaction from the other members they get a sense of acceptance. They could have gone from being a good person to being an evil or deviant individual because this behavior was desired by the people they are surrounding themselves with. If this is the case, then I do not feel they have a sickness. I feel that this behavior was a choice that was made in order to fit in and feel connected with
