According to the article, "Hang it Up, "by Jesse Scaccia a public school teachers have shown that cellphones can be a big distraction for students is was revel by the teacher while she was doing her assignment on the board and when she look back and say her student use their electronic device instead of paying attention in class with this mindless distraction cause a lot of students to fails in school. The education system want to ban cellphone from school but parents want their kids to bring their phones to school in case of emergency. I agree with the idea that students are more into their phone rather the paying attention in class and shouldn't be using them in class but instead just have them in class for emergency but should have them off during class.
First, of all cellphones can be a big distraction in the classroom and are failing the class. Scaccia mentions that one reason students failing is because of distraction in the classroom specifically the cellphone. In other words, Students should focused more on their school work rather their cellphone. For example when I was in high school and students at the school was also wasting time using their phone in class. Many students in my class were always using their cellphone rather than paying attention in class. When my teacher caught them using their phone was confiscated and was giving jug (Detention) for it. Everybody is the class was laughing at the fact at that got in trouble and his cellphone was confiscated which he shouldn't using anyway because was failing the class. I supports the idea in the articles, that students should not be using their cellphones in class for mindless distraction instead of using phone for actual emergency.
Secondly, parents wanted students to bring their in school in case of an emergency. Scaccia also mentions that parents thinks of their cellphone as a connection to their children in an emergency.
