Did They Survive the Escape? The three inmates Frank Morris, Clarence Anglin, John Anglin survived their breakout from Alcatraz on June 11,1962. The issue is that no one is sure if the truly escaped. Many people along with me strongly believe that Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers were able to escape from Alcatraz, and here are my reasons. Police have found the home made raft of raincoats along with footprints leading away from it.
According to Scope Magazine the raft and paddles were recovered on Angel Island along with a bag containing personal items belonging to the inmates, which contained photo graphs of friends and family. The Anglin brothers and Frank Morris did survive the strong freezing water of the Chicago Bay.
