I strongly believe Hoover did very little to help the Americans during the Depression because of the things that he introduced while in office. For example, Hoover strongly believed in L 1952-Faire, or what he called “rugged individualism,” due to Hoover being a part of the Republican Party, which meant letting businesses and citizens of the United States be able to have full individualism. The use of ‘Rugged Individualism’ did not help when the stock exchange crash happened when Hoover believed everything would sort things out eventually, which they did not, and America suffered from the Great Depression from 1929–1939.
