Die Hard Film Assignment
1) In the film Die Hard (John McTiernan, 1988), the protagonist John McClane is one of the first characters introduced in the initial scene. He is shown tightly gripping the armrest of his seat while his plane is landing in Los Angeles. This scene McClane seem surprisingly human, despite all of the seemingly superhuman feats he accomplishes while fighting Hans and his acquaintances. Later in the film, two interactions between McClane and Sargent Al Powell, and McClane and Chief of Police Dwain T. Robinson, help solidify one characteristic of John that had been developed earlier in the film.
