To receive a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, I need to take an American Diabetic Association (ADA) and Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) certified course. In college, I will have two options of what course I would like to take – the didactic program or the coordinated program. The didactic program requires solely classroom learning during college, and the coordinated program requires both the classroom learning and a required 900 hours of supervised practice during college. This usually takes anywhere from four to five years of schooling. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, I will take the registration exam for dietitians to become a Registered Dietician
