The second standard is the Standards on Program Planning and Outcomes Assessment. Each program must have a clear mission statement, defined goals, and clearly placed out objectives. With the programs making sure that these items are in place the program will know the goals that the program is trying to reach along with how those success of the goals are measured. By knowing the way that the goals and objectives are measured it will allow students and faculty alike to ensure that they are preparing themselves on the basis of the program objectives. It’s not only a want, but it’s a needed measurement to ensure that all programs are have similar goals and objectives. This standard is vital to make certain that each student in the program’s coursework is laying the groundwork for student success. Its basis is to ensure that the programs look to make certain that the student is learning the quality food service, managerial, biomedical, nutrition, and clinical aspects needed to be quality dietetic professionals. This standard ensures that the curriculum is given in an order that leads to student success with each course building upon the others. This standard also makes it a requirement that documentation is kept on student learning, the life skills of the student, and the student assessments. Next, are the Standards on Program and Staff Resources which makes certain that the program is a fair and unjust with the ability to appeal to quality educators to become faculty members of the program. This standard also oversees the program’s facilities to ensure that each student is learning in facilities that promote an ease of learning and an environment for the successful student. In addition, this standard oversees the program’s ability to retrain faculty and foster their continued education which they can then pass along to their students. Lastly, the Standards of Students is the standard which governs the programs ability to not only attract the student, but have fair and non-discriminatory policies and procedures for the
