The right to die policy is authorized in several countries, including The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland and a handful of US States such as Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Vermon (Burnier & Gandsman, 2014). There are laws that are similar to this act. For instance, right to refuse medical treatment is well recognized in law patient can signed a directive that allow them to stop all extraordinary measures, which a passive form of euthanasia.
