When Christopher Columbus first “rediscovered” America, a flee of foreigners settled in the New World attempting to achieve their goals. The New England and Chesapeake colonies had their different social structure that gradually shaped the country into a need of their own.
The Chesapeake colony included Virginia, Maryland, East and West New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In these areas, climate was more humid and hot and extremely difficult to deal with. It contained lower-middle class workers, small groups of families, and a larger amount of slaves and indentured servants. This region desired materialistic things.
