The 1930’s were a very different time period compared to current time period. To Kill a Mockingbird was written by Harper Lee in 1960, and it takes place in the 1930’s. The two main character are Scout and Jem and the storyline follows them for about two years. It starts off kind of slow with a lot of innocence but it quickly progresses and Scout and Jem are exposed to the evil in the world.
When I first started watching To Kill a Mockingbird, I was mostly eager to learn about how everyday life went for people who lived in the 1930’s.
