Although police officers should not discriminate in how they treat any members of the public, the nationwide trend of discrimination in treatment of people necessitates the need for improved community outreach, improved sensitivity training, and improved racial relations to resolve that problem. When black teens are out walking in the neighborhood they shouldn't have to worry about getting touched or shot by any criminals in the community. When they see the police in their community they automatically think some people are up to no good just by the way the black teens look. In most black communities across the U.S. this is a common thing that happens. One of the biggest concern is the safety the police provides for the community but in reality the black community feels like they could be a walking target for the police to shoot. Just the fear of walking out of my house and not returning plants a fearful seed in the people's mind in the black communities across the U.S. Even though it's claimed that black on black crime is the highest targeted crime, in fact the misuse of police and their position are accountable as well.
