In William Shakespeare’s tragic play, Romeo and Juliet, two star-crossed lovers fall in
love despite the conflict between their opposing families. Their relationship faced many trials-
heartbreak, exile, and death. In all of this, the Montague and Capulet parents are the
most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death because of their conflict with each other, the
forced marriage between Juliet and Paris, and the changing of the wedding date.
