1. What style of dance did you see? What specific movements did you see on stage that would indicate that it was this specific style or genre?
At this performance, I saw a combination of both contemporary and Aerial dancing. In addition, there were some dances that felt very modern due to the interpretative hand and leg movements. The modern dances consisted on walking across the stage and even screaming. The Aerial dancers used long ribbons to dance in the air and around the floor. This kind of dance incorporated a lot of spins with pointed toes and flexible poses. The contemporary dancers would use wide movements between the arms and legs and would leap and spin across the stage.
2. What drew you to this particular performance?
I was very curious about aerial dancing! Before, I did not know that it was considered a style of dance, therefore I was curious to see how the dancers would incorporate it in the performance. Furthermore, I was curious to see how the dancers would incorporate the theme “Without Borders.”

It seemed like it would be very challenging and would take a lot of muscle build-up. I would also like to ask the other performers the purpose behind each dance they performed. As an audience member, I have my own perspective; However, I am interested to understand what their opinion was, as well. Regarding the production of a live dance concert, I would like to know how much rehearsal is needed to perfect the projections and props used on stage. This performance incorporated many different props and had elaborate projections for most of the dances, and I am curious to see how exactly it works
