Disney Vacation Club is a timeshare program that first started in Walt Disney World in Orlando. Disney's Old Key West Resort was the first resort to be built; it opened on October 1st, 1991. Four years later, the Disney's Vero Beach Resort, opened on October 1st, 1995. It is the first Disney resort outside of a Disney complex.
DVC owns 14 properties in total, in four different states: Hawaii, California, South Carolina and Florida. The resorts have many amenities such as; pools, playgrounds, fitness centers, spas, shops, tennis and basketball courts, etc. Unit amenities differ from a resort to another, but they usually include a kitchen, a television, internet access, a wet, etc.
