Sir Gawain is a knight at the round table. That is something most people should know, but does he deserve a place on the table? I believe that he did deserve to be a Knight at the Round Table and I will explain why.
First, Sir Gawain didn't know his actual parents. He grew up with a fisherman and his wife for his first seven years. After the seven years, the fisherman and wife moved to Rome, with Gawain and their treasures. He made friends with the pope and emperor, and the emperor made Gawain his page. When the fisherman became seriously ill, he told the emperor of Gawain's true identity, and the emperor promised to raise him like a knight.
