A dog is said to be a man’s best friend, but do they know us so well that they are almost trying to be us? Dogs are that one pet that turn more than just a pet, they turn into family members. They turn into a brother, a sister, older sibling, a mentor and most importantly a best friend. My dog was that he would be that one person I could just talk to and didn’t need a response to know that he was listening. I had my dog Tucker until I was 14.
Everyone thought my parents were crazy having a one-year-old puppy and an infant in the same household. Tucker was the type of dog who was very crazy as a puppy would protect me better than anyone else.

They are extremely intelligent animals. If you think about it we are teaching them to sit, stay, lay down, come, in a completely different language. Yet, at the age of only two months, they can learn and remember without understanding English.
When my teacher, brought up the topic of doing a research paper I had no idea what I was going to do. I knew was curious about the idea of personalities. I love human anatomy and I want to know and understand more about what us humans could do mentally. You have probably heard the term, “the big five” theory that was developed in the 1970’s. Cherry stated, “the most popular and widely accepted trait theory of personality today.” (Cherry Personality, 2018) The big five theory has five categories, neuroticism, agreeableness, extraversion, conscientiousness, openness. Most personality test and phycologist base you personality off of the “big five” categories.
The best way to describe personality was stated in the Encyclopedia of Children’s Health, “Personality development is the development of the organized pattern of behaviors and attitudes that makes a person distinctive. Personality development occurs by the ongoing interaction of temperament, character, and environment.” (Personality Development, 2018) Many people underestimate the power of our personality. Our personality influences the everyday movements that we don’t even notice because they are so natural to
