Dolphins are one of the smartest animals on earth. People would be shocked by what they are capable of. Dolphins are problem solvers and wonderful communicators.
What If I told you they were being taught to talk English would you believe me? Dolphins are known for their communication skills and connections with humans.
In the early 1960’s researchers and scientist worked together to observe dolphins and put on one of the most extraordinary experiments in animal science history. John Lilly was the mind behind the findings, he made a house called the “Dolphin house” which had a sea pool underneath it and held 3 dolphins.
However Margaret Howe was the woman that stayed with the dolphins and trained them to speak the English language. She taught them to speak through their blowholes and her star student named Peter received one on one language coaching. Peter was a very hard worker and tried so hard to get the sounds of the English language down. Margaret found that the “M” sound was impossible to make. Peter tried and worked he just could not get it.
Margaret and Peter had a relationship that cannot be explained. They were together, Margaret slept in a suspended bed above the pool where Peter would sleep. Over time the two grew
