Statement of the Problem
This is a study of selected abuse women. Its purpose is to describe the personal profile and emotional characteristics, and find out the resilience and self-esteem in understanding women experiencing domestic abuse.
Thus, this will address the following questions.
1. What is the personal profile of the women experiencing domestic abuse in terms of ;
a. Relationship Status b Educational Background
c. . Family Income
d. Length of Marriage or Relationship
e. Number of Children
2. What is the most common emotional characteristics of the women respondents using

Emotional Abuse refers to kind of abuse that can be verbal or nonverbal. The scars of verbal and emotional abuse are deep and can be much more emotionally damaging than physical abuse.
Educational Background pertains to the respondent’s highest educational attainment which could be elementary graduate, high school graduate, college graduate or with college units.
Emotional Profile Index refers to the standardized test which measures the 8 dimensions in a person’s personality. It includes trustful, dyscontrolled, timid, depressed, distrustful, controlled, aggressive and gregarious.
Family Income refers to the monthly family income and classified as (less than 5,000), (5,001-10,000), (10,001-20,000), (20,001-30,000) and (more than 30,000).
Physical abuse refers to the use of physical force against another person in a way that ends up injuring the person, or puts the person at risk of being injured. Physical abuse ranges from physical restraint to murder.
Personal Profile pertains to the respondent’s descriptions which include information such as age, educational background, family income, and length of marriage or relationship, number of children, occupation and relationship
