Essay 2
Keeping a secret is the hardest thing you can ever do. You don’t know who to trust or
who will help you out. At times women think keeping it in is safer but what they don’t realize is that in the situation in which they are in might be tearing them apart slowly. Being in an abusive relationship affects the way our mind is set but being in an atmosphere where there’s constantly violence is none the less horrific. As a kid not knowing what’s going around you sucks specially if there is both an abusive relationship between the parents and parent with its child. Domestic abuse has been happening for centuries yet trials start and parents lie to keep children. These parents might win their case due to lawyers who lie and contradict the testimonies of children whom want to be in a loving home not a torture home. These children suffer like no other there are many conditions that they get and through the trauma that makes their development go differently than usual isn’t helping them either. These children go through the toughest situations one being in an abusive atmosphere and another during school where they can get bullied do to the way they are acting. In school children think they are going to be treated the same way they do at home but they don’t realize that by letting their teachers aware of his or her situation they are helping themselves find a caring and loving home in which they are more protected than usual. In some cases children and the mother are afraid of the idea of letting someone know do to
the husbands threats and specially being afraid of getting killed but why not speak for your children. When children live in an environment where they aren’t safe, you know they will have challenges no matter where they go. There are lots of ways children are harmed by domestic violence. Children who live in a domestic atmosphere aren’t as safe as they should be, their only escape would be going to school were they shut themselves down. These children need more love than ever because not only does it affect their selfsteam but it’s creating a horrific childhood for them. According to UNICEF “Children who are exposed to violence in the home may have difficulty learning and limited social skills, exhibit violent, risky or delinquent behavior or suffer from depression or severe anxiety”, I just don’t understand why people want to harm their children isn’t being a parent the best job in the world. Do parents want their children to be violent like them, if not why do they act violent around their children. Violent parents don’t realize that they’re harming their growth. In order for children to have a good mentality they need a healthy environment that will allow them to express themselves more and show a healthy selfesteem. In order for them to show or talk about what happens around their home children need to have a high selfesteem. These children suffer like no other there are many conditions that they get and through the trauma that makes their development go differently than usual isn’t helping them
