Donovan Curtis, the troublemaker in Ungifted by Gordon Korman, hits a statue with a stick, sending the globe on top of the statue down a hill crashing into the school’s gym. Dr. Schultz, the school’s superintendent, just so happened to be looking out the window and saw Donovan trying to run away from the scene. Before Donovan could take a few steps, Dr. Schultz was right in front of him. Now Donovan has done atrocious things before, but never something of this level. He is thinking about who is going to be paying for the damage that has been done to the gym. Donovan just keeps on finding ways to get into more trouble. Someone indubitably needs to give Donovan some advice on how to stay out of trouble and on how to make better decisions.
