As I am one of your most trusted employees I am very glad you have given me the task of creating a team that shall be able to survive a life threatening unknown situation. In order for me to complete this task I had to ask myself what truly is survival, so I came up answer: Survival is the ability to live through a mental or physical state of a crisis or circumstance. I have begun the attempt to create this team of outstanding individuals, by determining what are and are not the most important qualities and traits are essential for survival. One of which being that the person must be capable of working well with a team and other people who have similar but also different traits to them. This trait enables effective work ethics and the ability to get more tasks done in an amount quicker time, while also giving all the people and opportunity to step up and help the group because their lives depend on it. In the article, “The day Tammy Duckworth was shot down,” Duckworth illustrates how in a time of crisis she only survived due to having her copilot there with her. After researching a lot into mental capabilities I found from the article, “How to survive a disaster,” that being unprepared mentally will most likely lead to the opposite of survival, in most cases death. The article states, “ The only reliable way to shortcut this kind of impaired thinking, most survival experts agree, is by preparing for an emergency in advance. ‘Practice makes actions automatic, without(the need for) detailed thinking.’” If a person is prepared to overcome emotion troubles, they will be most capable and ready in times of crisis. As well as being emotionally ready an individual must be in good physical condition and fit so they are able to move well in any condition. In the short story, “From deep Survival,” Laurence Gonzales describes how fatigue lessons your chance of survival. The storys says, “His class had been crossing a vast field of slushy snow, which made the going rough. The pilots began to suffer from fatigue, but Kerns kept driving them… Suddenly everyone wanted to give up. They just sat down and lost their will.” This shows how your have to
