Doodle's Death In The Scarlet Ibis

Brother left Doodle out in the rain one day while they were running home, Doodle got injured and died. In the story “The Scarlet Ibis” Brother and Doodle are brothers and Doodle is handicap therefor; Brother was always in charge of him. It’s not Brothers fault for Doodle’s death, he was unaware his brother was injured.
Doodle has always been handicapped ever since he was born; the doctors thought he wouldn’t make it. Brother was upset that his brother could not run, chase, or climb with him. Brother was disappointed with his brother Doodle because, he couldn't do those things. Brother carried Doodle around in a wagon everywhere he went, Doodle loved Brother. Brother tried to help Doodle do some normal things. As it says in the text “When Doodle was five years old, I was embarrassed at having a brother of that age who couldn’t walk, so I set out to teach him” (Hurst 2). Brother and Doodle worked so hard to get him to walk, they tried everyday. They told they’re family that they had a special surprise for them. Brother couldn't have known he was injured in that scene. Brother goes through a streak of cruelty when he runs away from Brother. As it says in the text “I ran as fast as I could, leaving him far behind with a wall of rain dividing us. However Brother did feel absolutely terrible when he didn’t see Doodle coming after him. He stood and waited for him not knowing that he had been injured. So how was it his fault that Doodle was Injured. Yes, he ran but, he was still unaware that he had been injured.
