The Mitosisinator
In the Tri-State Area, Dr Doofenshmirtz is in his tower creating a new machine. He calls it the mitosisinator, which he is going to use to multiply himself but as always his nemesis Agent P will try and foil his plan.
Dr Doofenshmirtz’s mitosisinator will be based off of mitosis as the name suggests, he got this idea as a kid growing up when in school he got a science book which showed how mitosis is the process of nuclear division in a living cell by which the chromosomes are exactly replicated, the two parts being separated are given to the daughter nuclei. In this process the two daughter cells receive chromosomes that are alike in composition and equal in the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. Mitosis consists of

Prophase, the first part of mitosis, is the stage where the chromosomes begin to condense into visible threads that become progressively thicker and shorter. The centrioles have already duplicated before the division process begins. The centrioles now begin to move apart. As they do long fibers appear in the cell, these fibers are called microtubules (spindle fibers). The centrioles move to opposite sides of the cell, at the same time, the network of fibers extends across the cell between the two poles, forming a spindle. The microtubules attach to the chromosomes at spots called kinetochores. Towards the end of prophase, the nuclear envelope …show more content…
Apoptosis, or programmed cell suicide, involves the synthesis of enzymes, which bring about the death of the cell within a matter of minutes. Apoptosis is induced either when a cell is no longer required, or when irreparable damage has been detected in the genome. To ensure there isn't random cell suicide, so-called survival genes prevent apoptosis unless a specific series of events takes place. However as you can imagine, overproduction of such a gene produces a cell of exceptional fortitude, which can make for a considerable danger if combined with certain genetic
