Dorothy Hamill is an American figure skater, Olympian, trainer, and celebrity. Chalmers and Carol Hamill gave birth to Dorothy in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1956. Shortly after Dorothy was born her family moved to Greenwich Connecticut where she grew up. She first started skating at a young age of only eight.
