An interview process while getting a job can be very stressful with the types of questions you have to answer and the way you answer them. Posture and the eye contact are important aspects to focus on while being interviewed. I was able to know what it feels like to be the person to interview someone, but it was not for a job. It was more of getting a better understanding of someone’s career. Also, reading other students interviews gave me a preview of different career paths such as police officer, state trooper, detectives, and parole officers. Within the interviews, there were two themes that really caught my attention, no typical work day and the fact that the interviewees would choose their same career if they could go back and make changes. …show more content…
I found this very interesting because everyone chose someone who is in the criminal justice system and their job is different every day. During my interview, my interviewee, Douglas Goeltz explained that he somewhat has a typical work day because he goes into his work knowing the things he has to get done, but he also doesn’t know what could happen throughout his shift while on patrol. This was very interesting while reading each interview, each person said that they would choose their career again because they love what they do. Cody Connelly’s interviewee was very inspiring when explaining his answer as to why he would stay in his career. Probation Officer Bob Dungan explained that he has an amazing opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. This goes with Brittany Neiman’s interviewee, Paco Vasquez. He says that “the simple fact that I love seeing the change I can make in people’s lives when I am given the opportunity to do so.” This was very touching because I would like to help people with getting back into life and becoming successful or at least make their lives better. Knowing that you changed someone’s life in a positive way makes you feel good. Trooper kijowski says that he would absolutely choose the career he is in because the bonding between the other trooper’s is like a brotherhood that’ll last a lifetime.
