The first black professor at Fredericton, Canada’s University of New Brunswick and the second black university dean in Canadian history, Dr. Jeremy Levitt holds a doctor of law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in politics and international studies from the University of Cambridge in Great Britain. While working toward his PhD, he completed a year of graduate research work at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Over the course of his career, Dr. Jeremy Levitt has applied his extensive knowledge of international human rights and “use of force” law to various race issues both domestically and abroad.
