Dr. Martha Braswell is the solo organist that was playing on a new teaching digital organ on a Thursday afternoon which is where I attended with my mother. Once we got there, we listened to the Fantasia and Fugue in G minor (BWV 542) behind the Jan Corbin recital halls it started at 7:00 p.m. but were only ten minutes late due to my mother's job but we got there and sat in some empty seats. And for the remainder of the concert, we sat through three chorales from Op. 122 that were Herzlich Tut Mich Erfreuen and Herzlich Tut Mich Verlangen, a Fanfare, Humoresque, and Concert Variations based on “The Star Spangle Banner” Op.1. Experiencing this type of music for the first time was amazingly beautiful!! In my opinion, this type of music should get their credits because this type of music is literally not being appreciated enough. This type of music pieces are important to us because they have an important part in our culture of music and I choose to treat them and play them as musicianist . I now have an amazing and beautiful experience of hearing pieces of past people who composed these three pieces and how they literally explained their feelings in music and not just in words because of Dr. Martha Braswell. The dynamics in this piece were very loud and in your face. The rhythm incorporated short notes that were played, in fast tempo, by the right hand. Lemmens greatly impacted those around him upon releasing this Fanfare. It was something new and exciting then; even now those sitting in the audience sat excitedly listening fixedly. In addition, the piece Humoresque by Pietro Yon was equally as impactful. Though different in zest, it was very enjoyable. With a fast tempo, high pitched rhythm, and varying soft dynamics, this piece kept its audience at the edge of their
