A week ago, Tammie had a CT scan to determine the effectiveness of her treatment. Yesterday, the doctor called her to give the results. When she answered, he said, “Hey Tammie, this is Dr. Tay Tay. His real name is Dr. Taylor. With such a playful greeting, Tammie relaxed, because she thought no one bearing bad news would call themselves Dr. Tay Tay. She was not wrong, she said. He informed her that there was no evidence of the disease. In fact, he said there was absolutely nothing to be seen in the scan. Praise God.

The cards, texts, phone calls and meals encouraged us, sustained us, aided us in holding on to hope and helped us stay afloat regardless of how choppy the waters felt at any given moment. But of all the things we have valued, your prayers have been the richest gift. We believe they have had a significant impact on this journey and Tammie’s ability to endure, with joy and gratitude, the suffering and hardship of the past eight months.
