In the song “Pompeii,” the author uses dramatic irony to convey the theme. Bastille, the author/songwriter, says “And the walls kept tumbling down; In the city that we love.” This is describing what happened, or what we think happened. When we researched what Pompeii is we found that there was a volcano that erupted and destroyed the town. “Does it almost feel like; Nothing changed at all?” This is dramatic irony because it makes you question whether he is talking about the life event that happened in Pompeii.
