Again with the role model part, if you are positive and happy during a practice, everybody else may look at you and think, wow they believe in us, and those people will work even harder and those individuals go on the be great leaders. Commitment is always a big part to being a drum major. You have to commit to everything you do. You can’t just stop marking time as a drum major or the whole band flops. You have to commit to this role of being the leaders of the group, along with the section leaders who always do a great job. Other good qualities include: Confidence, Patience, and Honesty. I think I am fit for this role because I am a natural born leader even if it doesn't show most of the time. When I’m in a group for a project I always try to come up with a gameplan to execute the project to the best of it’s ability. I want to be the best drum major Polytech has ever seen (I think Katie and Amanda are great no offense to them).
