Introduction
Attention Getter: With unemployment being as high as it is, it's time people turn to the their computer as as way to provide a sustainable income.
Relevance: Many students struggle to get employed after college even though the demand for online labor is astonishingly high. In fact, there are more online jobs available than the number of unemployed people.
Credibility: I have been earning an online income for over seven years year now. At the age of twelve I started my first business selling the "mosquito" ringtone online which was basically a high pitched ringtone that only teenagers could hear. In high school, I started building android apps which included an Angry Birds wallpaper app that sold over a thousand dollars per day. Unfortunately, my apps got taken down due to copyright issues but I continue to earn an online income through affiliate programs that pay me a commission on sales. I feel that with the right education and work ethic, many young americans could do what I have done to earn an income in this increasingly competitive job market.
Propositional Statement: In order to decrease the number of young americans unemployed, public schools need to start teaching all students computer and business skills that they may use to get employed in the digital world and/or give them the opportunity to start their own online business.
Transition: Let's begin begin by discussing why traditional education is not suited for a job market in which brick and mortar businesses are getting replaced by digital ones.

Problem: In this day in age, having a diploma is simply not enough to get hired. The number of individuals with a college diploma has become so high that employers are no longer just looking for these credentials. Instead, they are looking for specialized computer skills that the majority of students have not learned in college. In the last 10 years, there has been an astronomical increase in demand for college graduates who are highly skilled with computers. Now what has happened in these last 10 years you may ask? Well what has happened is that that digital businesses have replaced nearly every brick and mortar business resulting in a surge of employers who demand technologically skilled labor and a decrease in those with skills that apply to traditional brick and mortar businesses. According to an article by Mark Cuban on blogmaverick.com (Cuban, 2013), there are currently far more digital jobs than there are people to fill them. The problem now is that enough college graduates have the skills needed to get hired for these jobs.
Transition: Now that we have outlined the reason behind current unemployment among college graduates, let discuss some possible solutions.
Solution #1: One solution to solving the current unemployment problem is among college graduates is to not teach them how to get hired for a job but rather how to start their own business online. Starting a business online does not require the capital that was once needed 20 years ago. Today, anyone with a great idea and determination can turn their idea into a million dollar business by simply using their computer. This is why schools should begin teaching every student the skills needed to started an online business. Educating students on how to start their own online business would teach them to become financial self-sustainable in a world where employment is highly competitive.
Transition: In addition to a business education, a quality computer science education would prove to be extremely useful in giving college graduates the ability to tap into the large number of employers who are
