There are three types of eating disorders that women and men suffer from and they are anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating.
c. Let’s go into more depth about each eating disorder.
d. First is Anorexia nervosa. Many people with anorexia see themselves as overweight, even when they are clearly underweight, and are eating small portions of certain foods and having an intense fear of gaining weight.
e. Next is Bulimia nervosa. People with bulimia have frequent episodes of eating usually large amounts of food and feel a lack of control over these episodes and unlike anorexia, people with bulimia usually maintain what is considered a healthy or normal weight, while some are slightly overweight.
f. Lastly, is Binge-eating disorder. People with binge-eating disorder lose control over their eating and is not followed by excessive exercise or fasting. As a result, people with binge-eating disorder often are overweight or obese.
g. Treating these disorders takes time and patience. From specific forms of psychotherapy or from medical care and monitoring. If not treated things could get worse and lead to depression, substance abuse, and even
