Spillover virus means they affected more people than expected, like if your cup spills over the edge then there is more water in it than you expected. It is also when a disease goes across seas. Ebola is a spillover virus because It was known to be a small infection in the past so nobody expected it to be this big. It also went from africa to parts of europe and asia.

The first one was when the two year old kid died because of the disease. Next is when his family got the disease and his grandma took it to a hospital where a nurse got the disease. Then the guy that took the disease to nigeria didn't think that he had the disease so he tried to escape the hospital and he just started spreading it more. Then Another big event is when that other guy got Ebola and survived it.
What information about Zika was the most interesting or memorable to you? Give reasons for your answer.
I think that it is interesting that you can get such a big disease from even the smallest of animals. You can even extract the disease from the animal to study the disease. Then once they find the virus in the animal they will test how well it affects cells. We can’t afford to get rid of the animals that carry the disease because they are all part of a food chain.
What new information about viruses or global diseases did you learn from watching this?
You can find out where they came from by simply taking blood tests of the animal that transmitted it or people who have it. You could also find a vaccine for it by finding the things that are making the disease and using components that counteract the disease. Viruses can spread really fast just by one infected
