A couple days later we find out the man isn't dead. Except he remembers me. He pointed me out in our yearbook. I’m not sure how the man remembers me, but I have definitely seen him somewhere before. I got called into the office the next day and my mom was there. She was crying and angry at the same time, I have never seen her so upset in her life. She knew everything that I have done and that’s the worst feeling in the world to have your mom disappointed in you. The man couldn’t point out Eddie in the yearbook, only me. He is positive I wasn't the man with the gun. My mom wants me to turn Eddie in, except I just can’t. I keep telling her it will be okay if I don’t but, she doesn’t want to hear it. If Eddie was in my spot, he wouldn’t turn me in either. My mother and I had to go to court. I was getting charged and was going to have to spend some time in jail. My lawyer said if I were to turn Eddie in my time in jail would be shorter. However, why would I want to make “black and white” both go to jail a couple weeks before the playoff’s. The next day at school coach and I got called into the principals office. We sat down and she quietly told us I’m not aloud to play for the team anymore. It was senior night so each player walked to the center of the court with their parents to get awarded for our hard work. My sister and mother are the ones i’ll be walking to the center with tonight. They have never been so excited in their life. I, on the other wasn't as excited. Im not very proud of myself after what I have done. We were about to walk to the center when my principal stopped me. She told my mother I wasn't able to walk out there because I wasn't able to do any extra things because of the charges against me. It made my mother very upset. Eddie and his parents were in the center of the court right now. A kid in the stands saw that the principal wasn't going to let me walk out with my sister and mother. He yelled something and then a fight started in the stands. Our two cops ran towards the crowd and Eddie ran towards them too. My mother and I ran outside. Not long after Eddie came outside. I was happy to see he was okay. He had his hand behind his back and looked angry. He was already mad at me because I turned myself in. That’s when I heard my little sister yell “watch out Marcus.” There was a sound of a bullet just like the one the night of Eddie and I’s stick-up. I felt pain in my right arm and then I was out. I
