Despite the extensive collection of evidence that indicates Tuberculosis as the killer of Edgar Allan Poe, the most commonly believed cause of death is still cooping. The general public commonly believes in co-op because of the time and place surrounding the events leading to his death. Poe was found in a ditch in poor health, which supports the conclusion of cooping because the ditch was outside a poll-taking location called Gunner’s Hall. This is important since he was found in the ditch on Election Day, further supporting the theory that injuries sustained from a cooping incident were the cause of Poe’s death. Although there is lots of evidence supporting this conclusion, there is also unambiguous proof that copping could not be his cause
