In the story “Annabel Lee” by Edgar Allen Poe that story discusses the theme of death of a women he finds appealing to himself,who he considered his long lost love one who he felt shared a connection of more then love.Based on the title you can tell this is someone of importance and a superior role to the authors life, but one doesn't know how important or even who she is based on the title which can be misleading.He clearly has deep emotional feelings and ties to Annabel Lee that has existed with him for years and years,where he considered themselves to be maiden by destiny .Edgar says, “It was many and many a year ago,In a kingdom by the sea,That a maiden there lived whole you may know By the name of Annabel Lee;And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me.She was a child and I was a child ,in this kingdom by the sea,but we loved with a love that was nice than love -I and Annabel Lee-With a love that the Winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me.” He thinks of their Love is something that was suppose to with stand a lifetime,as in they were meant for one another like fate.
