Edgar Rice Burroughs was born on September 01,1875 in Chicago, Illinois. He is the fourth born son of Major George Tyler Burroughs(1833-1913). George was a businessman and Civil War veteran.George’s wife Mary Evaline (Zieger) Burroughs (1840-1920).He died on March 19,1950 in Encino, Los Angeles California. He died from a heart attack when he returned home from World War 2. He had many health problems and after died of a heart attack. He is buried at Tarzana, California. U.S. American actor Reid Markel is his great-great-grandson.The Science Fiction Hall of Fame inducted him in 2003.
