The Process Principle starts at birth and remains prominent. It is the cognitive, social, and emotional building blocks of life. In an early childhood education classroom, this principle is vital because the educator is the architect aiding in the assembly of these blocks. The foundation for each part of life will make brain connections to new aspects of life as the child develops into an adult. Standards are guiding principles for lessons prepared and taught in the classroom. Standards are valuable to be positive all students are gaining an appropriate and equivalent education despite the learning facility. Standards are not only in place for students, but likewise for educators. They hold educators accountable for what they teach and their teacher performance. Without standards no one in the school system would have a goal to reach, resulting in failure. Standards are the guiding goals for professional development for educators and students, alike. Fundamental beliefs are the basic beliefs of an individual, and an educator’s fundamental beliefs affect the classroom. Teaching should be student focused creating an environment where students are a learning community but celebrated for their individuality. These fundamental beliefs can be visualized in relation to each other through the human body, as each body part is individual, but of equal importance to make the body function (community).
