The main character in the film is named Edward Cole who is a successful older adult in charge of a multimillion dollar business. Mr. Cole showed signs of typical physiological findings of frequent nocturnal urination, however some atypical findings were of him coughing up bloody sputum, having nausea and vomiting, night shivers, difficulty sleeping, and pain. Understanding the importance of a client or patient having the right to make these decisions is important in the elderly population. Mr. Cole would is depicted as a narcissistic individual who only cared about his career and materialistic items. He was alone in the world until a random stranger changed his perspective. This individual set about a transformation in which has many parallels with the Gerotranscendence Theory.
