The famous movie ‘Edward Scissorhands’ is considered, by some, as part of the horror genre. This statement is 101% false! Do you want a PG rated, semi-childish movie to be considered as horror? That would be a disgrace to the horror genre. Edward Scissorhands also contains a love story, which is incompatible with horror. When an individual watches the movie for the first time, he or she thinks that Edward is the villain of the story and some might even think he is a killer, because of his appearance. Edward Scissorhands also has a bright setting, with colourful houses, perfect yards and a relatively peaceful neighbourhood. This setting is not acceptable for any horror film.
