In a world so small we don't seem to see the bigger picture. In the art piece “Ladder to Freedom” essentially means the ‘stairway’ part is about trying to find happiness through nature by exploring. As you see in my art, the ladder is surrounded by pieces of rock and pine at the top. This symbolizes Edward’s journey through life. The rock that surrounded the ladder represents each memory Edward experienced. Each color of the rock represents different events that happened around him. In native tongue, pine represents wisdom and longevity. Although deceased, Edward climbed his way to freedom and learned many things along the way. He was able to recollect his thoughts and bring it to his grave. In my artwork, the rock fills the empty vase, which
