In the passage In Cold Blood, Capote seems bored as he shows us what the village of Holcomb holds. Not only does he speak with emotions but also with descriptions. We can make this conclusion about him as he talks about about “not that there is much to see.” In other words he is basically showing us an obvious feeling towards the village of Holcomb. Rather than being judgmental he uses figurative language to describe the not so great Holcomb. “Holcomb, like the rest of Kansas, is dry” capote stated. We should know that by the way Capote is expressing himself in this passage he is hired and would wish to see excitement. The tone in this passage seems gloomy but at the same it shows compassionate towards the feelings and understanding
