In a Los Angeles Times article, the author Geoffrey Mohan justifies how isolation can increase risk of early death. The author writes, “People who are socially isolated are more likely to die prematurely, regardless of their underlying health issues”(Mohan). The author is saying no matter what kind of health issues a person may have isolation can still cause an untimely death. In this article Andrew Steptoe says, “They’re dying of the usual causes, but isolation has a strong influence” (Mohan). Steptoe is saying, although they are dying of usual causes isolation still have a major influence on why they are
