Support is vital in Ella’s situation, during this time of life her family will have a substantial influence on her psychological and physical well-being. Since Ella’s family is a loving and caring family they will support her through this difficult time in her life. The Maldonado’s have known Ella for quite some time, they sold their farm to the Maldonado’s, and John is their Attorney for the farm. The Maldonado family have known Ella for a while, they are familiar with her ongoing battle with cancer however they taking the news very hard that she is terminal, they are very concerned, they are calling the family, asking questions, wanting to visit, wanting to bring food to the family and extend any help that they during this awful time of distress. These acts of compassion are sometimes overwhelming to the family.
