Children should be able to enjoy their adolescence because they won't be young forever. I am two minds on Ben Sasse’s claim that “What to Do With the Kids This Summer? Put ’Em to Work” I agree that kids need something to be entertained during the long summer break, on the other hand, putting them to work might not be the correct thing. Kids are mature enough to make their own decisions, to decide whether to work or not. Another thing is that kids don’t need to be doing work with technology already doing it. Kids aren’t kids forever, that’s just how life is. Let them enjoy their summer as children, as stated by Sasse, “Adolescence is a great thing.” (para. 9.
