In Emily Dickinson’s poem 112, the author is describing the pathway to success. During the journey toward success one may feel overwhelmed by the obligations that are necessary to succeed. As one can see in the poem, the author is encouraging the reader not to give up, but to endure the agonizing journey toward success. Although, one may struggle to achieve their goals in life, one will receive the reward of feeling successful. Interestingly, the author exposes two different types of individuals who receive the enjoyment of success.
